Funeral Music

“Music to Honor and Remember”

Hymns and Music for a Catholic FuneralMusic plays a significant role in a Catholic funeral, offering comfort, hope, and reverence while honoring the life of the deceased. Hymns and sacred music help the congregation pray, reflect, and express faith in God’s promise of eternal life.

There are some suggested hymn choices, but there are many others that may also be appropriate. Families can work with the priest or music minister to select hymns that reflect the faith and wishes of their loved one while following Catholic liturgical guidelines
