Calling Young Adults (18-35) - Pilgrimage to Walsingham (Saturday 20th to Sunday 21st June)

Young adults aged 18–35 are invited to join a special overnight Pilgrimage to Walsingham (Saturday 20th to Sunday 21st June), taking place alongside the annual diocesan pilgrimage, with dedicated time, space and community for young adults.  Staying at Elmham House (half board) pilgrims will share in the wider celebrations while also enjoying moments specifically for the young adult community and encounter.  For any questions, contact Charles Archer, Young Adult Ministry Lead charles.archer@dioceseofnottingham.uk

The Diocesan Walsingham Pilgrimage is taking place on Saturday 20th June

The itinerary is: 12 noon – Arrivals at the Anglican Shrine in Walsingham Village (coaches please park at Village Coach Park); 12.45 pm – Opening Liturgy and Procession of Our Lady to the Catholic Shrine; 3pm – Divine Mercy Chaplet at the Catholic Shrine; 3.30pm Holy Mass in the Catholic Shrine. All are very welcome!

The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children will be holding a Tiny Feet Coffee and Cake Sale, with a Celebration of Life Exhibition, in Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, 1 Fairfield Road, Market Harborough, LE16 9QQ, on Saturday 4th July, from 10.00am until 4.00pm.  All are very welcome.

One heart, one voice the annual conference of the National Network of Pastoral Musicians, will take place between Friday 24th and Sunday 26th July at Highgate House, Northampton NN6 8NN.  Whether you are a choir director, choir member, instrumentalist or new to music ministry, this conference includes something suitable for all.  Through discussion, idea sharing, and singing together with one heart and voice, participants may develop their musical skills and contribute to a sense of community within their churches, encouraging each other in the valuable work of everyday liturgy in our local parishes. A Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 1 adult formation course in Dereham this August

Christine Byrne (Diocese of Southwark) will be delivering the first half of a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 1 adult formation course in Dereham this August. This course enables participants to share the Gospel with children age 3-6, by using this beautiful and profound approach, and is open to parish catechists, parents, grandparents and teachers. Introducing synodality to our parishes on Saturday 12th September hosted by Caritas Leicester

 On Saturday 12th September Caritas Leicester and Leicestershire is holding a workshop at Holy Cross Church, Leicester, on the theme “Introducing synodality to our parishes”. It will be led by Dr Austen Ivereigh, the biographer of Pope Francis who was very involved in the synod on synodality as an invited expert, and who has given a number of these workshops.  The aim of the workshop is to respond to the call by Pope Leo to become a “synodal Church”, that is, one where the faithful gather to listen deeply and prayerfully to each other and thereby to open ourselves to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  All are welcome.  If you’d like to know more about synodality, try looking at www.schoolforsynodality.org.uk/

Encountering Jesus in the Gospels: how to lead groups in reflective prayer.  On Tuesday evenings between and April and June join the Jesuit Institute online for a short online formation course building the skills and confidence needed to hold and guide groups of those who wish to deepen their relationship with Jesus, in conversation with others, through reflectively praying with gospel texts.
