The Diocesan Education Service is hosting a Day looking at Gender and Faith: Accompanying Young People Well on Thursday 23rd April at the Diocesan Centre, Mackworth DE22 4BD. Dr Julia Sadusky will lead the Day, between 11.30am and 2.00pm, which is open to all, especially those accompanying young people at the intersection of questions of embodiment and spirituality. Nottingham SPUC holds a peaceful public act of witness on Saturday 25th April from 10.00am until midday
Once a year, Nottingham SPUC holds a peaceful public act of witness in memory of the 10 million lives lost to abortion since the passage of the 1967 Abortion Act. This involves standing silently holding a poster up to passing traffic. The date for this year's witness is Saturday 25th April from 10.00am until midday. The venue is Trent Bridge, Nottingham. If you are saddened by the injustice of abortion and the harm it does to women, and would like to take part, please meet at 9.55am on the north side of the bridge, next to the Brewhouse and Kitchen. The annual Saint Augustine Webster Diocesan Melwood Pilgrimage to the site of Melwood Abbey will be celebrated by Bishop Patrick on Saturday 2nd May, at 12 noon, at Low Melwood Farm, Owston Ferry, DN9 1AD. The Pilgrimage will start with the Rosary and Procession, and then Mass held in one of the farm's barns. Please bring a chair, picnic (optional), and appropriate footwear for country footpaths. All are very welcome.
